By way of GOI Notification F.No.4(25) – W&M/2017 dated October 06, 2017 (SGB 2017-18 Sequence IX – Situation date November 27, 2017) on Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme, untimely redemption of Gold Bond could also be permitted after fifth 12 months from the date of challenge of such Gold Bond on the date on which curiosity is payable.
Accordingly, the primary due date of untimely redemption of the above tranche shall be November 25, 2022 (November 26 and November 27, 2022 being Saturday and Sunday respectively).
2. Additional, the redemption value of SGB shall be primarily based on the easy common of closing gold value of 999 purity of earlier three enterprise days from the date of redemption as printed by the India Bullion and Jewellers Affiliation Ltd (IBJA). Accordingly, the redemption value for untimely redemption due on November 25, 2022 (November 26 and November 27, 2022 being Saturday and Sunday respectively) shall be ?5255/- (Rupees 5 thousand 2 hundred fifty-five solely) per unit of SGB primarily based on the easy common of closing gold value for 3 enterprise days i.e., November 22, 23 and 24, 2022.
